How I make Unova maps. I tried to explain it as best as I can, but I think you'll be better off just looking at each step/example. alskdjflkasj I'm tired so I'll add a better description laterrr. Also ignore any spelling mistakes.

You didn't actually mention about the desert! It just appears between the plateau and cliff instructions. Not a problem, though, I just improvised.

I forgot to mention it, but deserts are done the same way as forests: you copy/paste a section from the Unova map, and place your map over it (I included a square of desert in my Unova map kit for this.)

out of curiosity, how long would a single map take on average?

It depends on how complex you make your map. Simple ones take about 2 - 3 hours from what I've seen. I've made one that took about 5 hours, and the one in this tutorial took about 7ish hours (but that was because I was messing up on the layout of things and had to redo the mistakes)
